A longtime Pacific Northwesterner via the Midwest, upon completing several years of University work at Ohio State and Penn State, he partook in a lifetime’s worth of fishing, rafting and climbing mountains across the American West while heading up an Agricultural Research Program at Washington State University. To say John has lived, loved and shared a life of work and play outdoors would be an understatement.
John first moved to the Bahamas to renovate and operate a bonefish lodge in Andros. While successfully breathing life into that operation and securing its successful future, he met his wife, Lyn, an Andros native. They spent the next several years traveling and working together in remote locations such as Alaska, British Columbia and of course Andros.
Eventually feeling the urge to put down roots they considered many areas of the world and ultimately chose The Exumas. This choice, like their marriage, proved to be a match made in heaven.
John and Lyn have lived in Exuma for the past 10 years, enjoying every bit of it. From fishing, diving, surfing and general exploring of all things beautiful, John knows all the corners of Exuma and the islands around.
Also having run a property management company for most of those years, John knows the ins and outs of everything one has to consider for living and visiting the Bahamas.
If you are looking for the ultimate guide to the best of the islands, look no further.
